Default Floorboard Extensions

I just wanted to say that these seemingly silly little inventions are probably one of the slickest little upgrades I have done to my Street Glide. They move the floorboard out up to an inch and what a difference.

Before I always found my boot kind of hanging off the outside edge of the floorboard but with the extensions on there, very slick. My foot is centered on the board and it made a surprising difference in the comfort of the ride.

If you want to check em out more closely you can here....Harley Goodies.

Or, if you are a do it yourself person you can take the bolts out and take them down to your friendly Fastenall store and replace them with ones that are one inch longer. Also, pick up some steel spacers to go over the bolts and you are set to go. I did mine for less than $14.00 and they look like they came from the factory. Total time was 90 minutes and one root beer.

Even better....what year is your bike? Mine is an 09 and I forget whether it was front or rear but one was shaped oddly...not sure if you could do it with spacers or not?

I agree...these are definitely not rocket science to build but I was surprised that I even noticed the difference after they were installed.

My bike is an 09 FLTR. 1" longer (Grade 8) bolts and 1" spacers is all that is required to extend footboards. This is one of the easiest upgrades with one of the biggest payouts you can make on a Harley.

Real bikes don't have floorboards.

Default Floorboard Extensions

I am like everyone else, need to save buck when I can. I thought about trying the "home grown floorboard extensions" but... By the time I took the floorboards off, went to town, bought the correct spacers, got the correct length bolts, ect, ect.,ect. I found that spending a few more bucks was well worth the money. I absolutlely love my HarleyGoodies extensions. Just my 2 cents worth. Your mileage may vary...
