Default New Service Bulletin for D407F Tire Issues

It looks like Harley may be finally acknowledging the tire issue officially. They have issued Service Bulletin M-1258B in November and they will now start to replace or adjust all the D407F front tires installed on the early 2009 touring bikes that are having all the issues with tire cupping.

Check with your local dealer for details and to see if you are covered. It is my understanding that owners involved are going to be notified by mail sometime soon.

It's about time but at least they are acknowledging the issue.

I was told about it not too long after I purchased my 09 FLHX. Have not received notification yet but my dealer advised and replaced the tire at no charge.

With all the problems I have heard about I am surprised it took so long.
I personally have not had a problem with the Dunlops on my 09 FLHTCU Got good milage with them Replaced them in Nov 2010 with 20,000. miles on them and they had 3/32 tread left could have gone more but the rainy season was starting so new tires went on. I replaced them with a new set of Dunlops and I hope to get same trouble free miles out of them.
