Hello everyone, i own a 1999 ultra and a 1987 FXR which i really like to ride, the bike i have an issue with is the ultra, it has a Magnetti Marelli EFI system on it. The history is i had washed the bike and my check engine light came on, I opened all the conections and used air to dry them, When i attempted to start the bike it was a real job as it bucked and backfired a number of times, when i got it started the RPM would hang up and bike ran real bad, Took bike to HD and they found the crank positioning sensor had gone to fault.
Had the motor rebuit as it failed leak down test but even after i did this and put on a pc 3 fuel management system the RPM still hangs up a bit ans has a real stumble when you bring throttle of idle and the throttle response is real lazy and not real crisp.
So if anyone out there has had a problem such as this with a similar bike any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Biketoys10
