Default Suspension Setup for a Softail

I want to improve the ride of my Softail and lower it all at the same time, I hope that's possible.

Right now I am leaning towards Progressive for both front and rear but I am not sure if these are the best choice. I've read some stuff about Works Performance as well.....can anyone share some first hand experience with either or both of these products?

I know that I've thrown an awful lot out there, but would appreciate any feedback, opinions, or experiences that anyone has. Thanks in advance....

I haven't used Progressive shocks but they have an excellent reputation for being a good bang for the buck. If you do use them, please make sure you let us know what you think once installed.

I agree...Progressives give a great bang for the buck. They are expensive but nowhere near the price of the really high end stuff and they work well. Stock shocks are just too soft...the bike feels like it wallows around to me but I imagine it would depend on rider weight etc.

The Progressives give you control over the rebound and damping which is a good thing as you can tailor it to your type of riding.
