Default Best Seat for an 07 Softail

Hey Guys,

This question has probably been asked a hundred times but I have narrowed the solo seat search down to either the LePera Bare Bones or the Silhouette. I've heard that these are more comfortable than the Harley OE and aftermarket seats.

Anyone have either of these seats and what do you think of it?

I have the LePera bare bones on my Night Train.....it LOOKS great but the comfort is an acquired taste. It will never be mistaken for a touring seat but it's reasonably comfortable and you get used to it.

This kind of seat is all about the looks more than anything else.

Nobody can really tell you what the best seat is for you because you haven't told us enough about what you are after. I am assuming that you are well aware of what a sleek solo seat is designed for and that it is more for looks than comfort?

That said...I have run the LePera Bare Bones Solo in the past with good results but I couldn't ride more than say an hour without needing to stop, stretch and let some blood flow back into the butt.

YMMV though.
